I've always been exposed to music. Since before I was born my parents would play guitar and sing to me. As soon as I was able to experiment I would play around with my brothers' keyboard and drum set. I started studying music formally in the fourth grade with Trombone. That lasted about a week and I switched over to drums. I played percussion in the school band, but my true passion was born when, at the age of 10, I picked up my mother's acoustic 12-string guitar. My father raised me in the tradition of folk music (that is making an accurate interpretation of a song but still making it your own). In 2003 I started formal study of classical guitar at Century College in Minnesota. I stayed there for a year and moved on to The Boston Conservatory of Music for the 2004-2005 school year. Then I ran out of money and had to start working. I've been a lifeguard/camp councilor/swimming, sailing, rowing, lifesaving, lifeguard BSA, and canoeing instructor; a portrait photographer; a frozen/dairy stock boy at a grocery store; a valet driver; a package handler for a parcel shipping company; a school bus driver; a semi-truck driver; and am currently an infantry soldier in the United States Army.I like all manner of music as you may see in my favorites. I try to record songs that either I've written, or I feel I can do a decent enough job at performing. I don't have any fancy equipment (just a digital still camera for video and a mini disc player/recorder for audio). I just felt the need to share this stuff, mostly for my family, but if some other people see it I don't mind (that's why it's here and public).
