9/6/08, Gods of War, University of Ohio-Chillicothe, tried to use the ole' 1-2 but the guy must have needed to use the bathroom badly or something. He must have thought this was a rooster fight because he scratched instead of punched. Had to get a few stitches in the left eyelid from Mr. Scissorhands. Next time I plan to use Muay Thai defense with hands held high to prevent those sneaky wide left hooks, use my wrestling background to ground and pound, and maybe learn a submission or two. I just wanted to focus on my hand striking in this one. My right seemed to work pretty well. I thought more technique than power as I wanted to make sure I stuck to the gameplan. My corner guy helped out a lot as he was just inducted in the MArtial Arts Hall of Fame of Muay Thai. Worked a lot of UFC events too. I was spoiled lol. I am looking forward to the next one!
