Monday, August 18, 2008 (6 of 13)/(2 of 2) - Denman films the ring on Bridget's finger while she's still on the phone with Steven. Bridget stands with the ring on, and is so fascinated by how shiny it is. Denman tries the ring on his pinky. Steve Hurley brings me a ginormous receipt for the mounting. The ring looks good on Denman's skin, which is darker and closer to Bonny's skin. Lara calls Denman. Steve gives me all my paperwork and explains my lifetime warranty on the mounting. Steve steams off the ring one last time while Denman is on the phone with Lara. I tell Bridget that I like this ring better than the 3 carat stone version Bonny originally tried on. We talk about how the box may be too big for when I propose. I ask Steve for a smaller box. He looks for one. I tell Denman about the secret myspace page I was going to make, and how my codename was going to be Sir Khaki and Bonny's codename for the myspace page was going to be Princess Unicorn (which is a reference to the Bailey Banks and Biddle logo). Steve can't find a smaller box, but he has a pouch. At first I decline, but then since it's free I decide to take the pouch. The pouch Steve gives me looks like a medieval pouch. I tell Steve about how I'm going to propose. He says I should do it at Medieval Times, and I tell him that was the original plan. As we're leaving we take inventory of all the diamonds so we can steal them later. Denman films the three of us in a mirror. We got the ring! "Now, as if Joshua hasn't spent enough money, he's going to spend more," Bridget says as I go to buy gift cards for Bonny's anniversary present. I point out that the ring cost more than my truck did with interest.

Nov 22, 2008 - The ring is gorgeous! I could go on and on about it, but I'll save that for later. It is definitely going to look awesome on Bonny, it really pops on the darker skin tones like my lovely tan Christopher. Imagine the typical restaurant proposal with that huge box. It'd be pretty damn hard to hide in your pocket. And for the record Chris, I am taking you at your word when I heard:Salesman: You two see me when y'all are ready.Chris: We will.
