Nov 22, 2008 - Sounds quite fucking good ! Keep on having fun with it ;)

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Thanks! The IIC+ is an amazing amp. I think its the best amp that Mesa has ever made for hi-gain stuff. I love the clean channel as well.

MetalBrainSurgery Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - SHIT that is the lead tone that I hear in my head all the time.

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Thats the exact reason that I bought this amp. I kept hearing these clips and thinking "Damn, I want that tone". So I ponied up the cash and sure enough its the tone that I've been chasing for quite a while now.

rushsubdivisions Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - What do they run for. I know there pricy. What effects are you using? Is it petrucci's signature model?

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - The Mark IIC+'s go pretty high. I paid $3300 for mine. In the videos its straight into the amp, no effects except for the clean demo, which was a bit of chorus, and maybe phaser/flanger. Is what a petrucci signature model? The guitar?

rushsubdivisions Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Ya the guitar... Well i can kiss that idea good by because i can't pay $3300 for an amp.Thanx any way!

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - The guitar is actually an Ibanez Prestige RG3120. I put a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck, and a DiMarzio D-Sonic in the bridge, so its got JP pickup combination in it.

rushsubdivisions Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Ya i own the schecter line because i have a music store and i have a schecter stilleto and i put a D-sonic in the bidge and an air norton humbucker in a single coil and a regular 57' fender single coil.

spoon12bil Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - what are your settings from left to right?

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - I don't remember them exactly but I can give you a baseline setting that I'd use from left to right:8 pulled, 7.5 pulled, 2.5, 5, 2, 8 pull, 5 pulled at high volume, classic v eq shape.

howdydoobooboo Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - THAT sir is the lead tone I hear in my head.Right the fuck on. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Yeah? They're amazing amps. I'm sure you'll love it when you get ahold of one. I'm about to plug mine in right now and rock a bit. Haha.

ApocalypseNigh Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - How much did this setup cost?

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Well, I got my 4x12 for $500 used from a buddy of mine and I paid $3300 for my IIC+ head, so just the head and cab alone without including my pedals, cables, guitar, etc was $3800.

rodrigozamo Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - dang!! all songs were perfect. You can really tell petrucci uses this amp cuz your tones are perfect for every song

petruccirocks02 Says:

Nov 22, 2008 - Thanks man, I really appreciate that. More demos to come soon. Haha.
