GOD TV began life as Christian Channel Europe in October 1995, but it was only broadcast for around a couple of hours per morning on Sky Analogue transponder 47 (thus sharing with Sky Sports 2). and it was launched by it founders - Rory and Wendy Alec. Before that, there was no dedicated christian channel in the UK, because the pre- 1990 broadcasting act prohibits all day christian televison Side Note: Happy 13th birthday GOD TV!
