Toronto author Ward McBurney reading from his novel, & after this our exile, at the Toronto Mounted Police Headquarters in the Horse Palace, located on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is Sunday, the 20th of April, 2008. The oversounds are from the horses drinking, which only goes to prove, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't keep him quiet. Ward begins with the opening pages of chapter 9, Paris Leave, and closes with a lyric, Come Away Love (to the Wars). Flanking him are historic animators Kevin Hebib and Chris Laverton, wearing Canadian uniforms from the First World War.Event photos: http://storyward.blogspot.com/2008/04/fall-in.htmlTo Order: http://www.lulu.com/content/2343767Read More: http://ampersand108.blogspot.com/
