Antardrashti: The blind can experience the light, The blind can see from within, The blind can be self-reliant, The bind can lead and inspire their fraternity and contribute to the economic prosperity of the Nation! This, in brief, is the gist of goals of Antardashti, the Inner Vision. The evolutionary and revolutionary initiatives by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, for reformation and rehabilitation of blind brothers and sisters and for the welfare of the physically challenged! To begin with, with the benign grace of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji, they are blessed with Brahm Gyan (The Divine Knowledge). The inner awakening has brought to the fore the latent physical and intellectual talents within them. Such positive qualities are being put to practical use to achieve self-reliance. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan guides and stands by them steadfast, in their efforts to self-improvement. Introduction: Let the dark clouds of depression and helplessness due to inborn physical disabilities disappear and make room for the glowing sun with millions of rays of light and hope to set forth dynamic creative activities! At the soul-level: Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sanathan has assimilated into its spiritual fold this hither-to neglected section of the society. As a first step they are initiated to Brahm Gyan to achieve the goal of internal awakening through the soul-stirring experience. This is the seed to the process of total transformation of an individual.. Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan conducts socio-spiritual discourses and counseling sessions on regular basis at Schools for the Blind, Hostels for the Blind, Workshops for the Blind and Rehabilitation Centers for the Physically Challenged .In addition, meditation sessions are conducted for their benefit. For the reading by the blind, the publication of the Sansthan, Search for Truth (Can God be Seen?) is produced in Brail language. At the social-level: With the initiatives of social activities, the Sansthan has been making sustaining efforts to assimilate the Blind into the mainstream of the society. Allowing partaking in many types of technical and educational facilities, the Sansthan wishes to mould them into diligent, self-confident individuals. We are out to defend heir self-respect to the highest levels. At the economic-level: Employment opportunities are being afforded to the blind and the physically challenged to enable them to generate income with self-sustaining efforts. After providing them with free training, their services are utilized to manufacture high quality fancy candles, lamps, incense sticks, etc. Healthy working environment is provided and they get remuneration for their output on pre-decided scales. The profit so generated is reinvested for their own welfare, to provide amenities, and to induct more blind in to this process. These welfare activities, their sustenance and expansion, depend upon your willing co-operation and support. We have a sacred duty to defend the human rights of the blind and the physically challenged. Buy the products made by them, respect their creativity and help them to help us to tread on the path of this great sacrificial endeavor. By doing your duty, you encourage us to do our duty to them!We have the example of Surdas , the poet-saint,born in the 15th century (1478) as to what spiritual heights a blind person can reach. He was a born blind but what an amazing creative talent he had and strived to bring eace and harmony to humanity through Bhakti (devotion) movement! The number of blind persons in India in 2000 was estimated to be 18.7 million. Blindness imposes a heavy social burden both in human and economic terms. It is a major public health problem. The blind population of our country consitutues one-fourth of the total number of the blind worldwide!Instead of being overawed by the size of the problem, let each one of us do our duty to this section of the society. One can not do anything better than to contribute in all possible ways, for the betterment of the blind and the physically challenged. To support the initiatives of self-help is the best option that we place before you. Blind have now leant the art of self-support with the scope of productive employment opportunities created for them by Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan.Visit us at: www.divyajyoti.orgContact us at: info@divyajyoti.org, djjsnewsline@gmail.com
