This is a slideshow showing you all the major small arms used by the Germans during WWII (I know I forgot to add the Walther PP and the MP41). I worked very, very hard on this. I welcome people's questions and correcting me on guns I might have missed. However, if your going to be an asshole about it then don't waste your time. I only put up guns that the Germans actually used in combat so experimental weapons are not included. I welcome suggestions for new background music to be added in possible other slideshows I might make in the future. The only rule is that it cannot contain anyone singing, just music. And don't suggest it unless you think it would fit the theme.Feel free to rate, subscribe, and comment. The Luger P08 shoots a 9x19mm Parabellum and was designed by Georg Luger. The Walther P-38 shoots 9x19mm Parabellum and was designed by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik. The Sauer 38h shoots .32 ACP. and was designed by J.P. Sauer. The Mauser HSc shoots .380 ACP or can shoot .32 ACP. and was designed by Mauser. The Volkssturmgewehr shoots 7.92x33mm Kurz and is was designed by Karl Barnitzke. The StG 44 shoots 7.92x33mm Kurz and was manufactured by Haenel. The MP40 shoots 9x19mm Parabellum. Dec 3, 2008 - You can't be both an officer and history major ? Do you not need a degree to be an officer ?

captainporpoise Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - I never said that, I mean he thought Nazi's were the best people ever, and thought US soldiers were no match for them, he thinks he IS a Nazi pretty much, and he pretty much thinks America sucks, and a lot more stuff, but you should get what I mean.

Dec 3, 2008 - What's the difference between the Mp 38 and Mp 40 thanks!

jrpeters5 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - Well, not much. The MP40 was more or less an improved MP38. The MP40 was an improvement in that it was simpler in design, easier to manufacture, as well as a few other slight modifications. The reason I mentioned it is because the Germans used it when they invaded Poland as well as its surrounding neighbors before they adopted the MP40. Thanks for the comment! Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Dec 3, 2008 - Cool Thanks!

billyjoelrocks411 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - I also see a stock on the Mp 40 was that different or could one be added to the Mp 38 also? THanks again lol

jrpeters5 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - Well, there is one I didn't put in there. I forgot to put an MP41 in this slideshow. The MP41 is an MP40 with a wooden stock. Its a very cool gun. The MP38 and the MP40 both had foldable stocks if that answers your question. Anymore questions, just ask.

Dec 3, 2008 - come on jr , mp41 is NOT cool at all , looks terrible :-) i agree it has collector's value,it's pretty rare , but ugly

petrwarry Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - you'll see just difference in surface of gun as mp38 is made of thick metal,mp40 just thin (stamped?)parts.otherwise the same look.

ITSL3G1T Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - great video....what is the music soundtrack?

jrpeters5 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - I am afraid I went through a great deal of trouble to get this soundtrack. I doubt you can obtain it.

gevar234 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - hey great vid, forgot one submachine gun though. The mp 3008, it was a last ditch weapon used by the germans in the last months of the war

gevar234 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - also for grenades there is the model 43 and the model 39. and for machine guns, the mg08 was used in ww2 also

88pie88 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - were is the mp-3008

jrpeters5 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - That was an uncommon weapon. Only used in the battle of Berlin and a lot were made but the fact that it came so late (the last month or so of the war). I thought it didn't deserve to be mentioned.

LastRussianEmporer Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - can someone explain to me the difference between a small arm and a large one?

jrpeters5 Says:

Dec 3, 2008 - Well, there isn't really such a thing as a "large arm". They call military firearms, "small arms" because it is technically what they are called, in addition they are called small arms because they are small compared to other arms like Tanks, aircraft, missiles, other military vehicles, anti-aircraft batteries, anti-tank guns, and others. Hope I answered your question. Any more questions just ask.
