Nov 23, 2008 - yeah i see the kohlers as good as they are wont last forever without at least one rebuild! we rebuilt the onan 16hp on our case 446 and the k241 kohler on my 77 john deere 210. my 84 210 smokes like a freight truck, i was hopeing the rings were just stuck from it sitting so long but... i guess it needs rings as well! oh well at leat its not to bad to re ring them! and to grind the valver

Nov 23, 2008 - model numbers dont always indicate hp. however in this case your correct. 200 series machines had the hp rating in the model number. if this engine is original its a k301, 12 hp factory rating.
