This is a pre-school lesson in the Child Development Centreunder the Office of Phuket City. The school bags are tidily placed on a shelf.After parents drop them off in the mornings, the children know what they have to do. Everyone is well dressed, ready to learn new things, join in activities, have meals, and play. This is a preparation stage for everyone before they are introduced to the first lesson on their education path. "We have 4 Child Development Centres. They accept children aged 4 years up. The centers prepare the children for social skills & to be independent at a certain level." This week is 'Good Health and Wellness' at the Child Development Centre. The children then learn about their bodiesand simple health care. Now, it's time for a midday nap.The Child Development Centre, under the Office of Phuket City,currently opens for all children, different from its original purpose when starting in 1995 to serve only the children of the municipality's staff. While the younger ones are taking a nap,it's time for the older ones of K.1 and K.2to exercise with different equipment located in the grounds of the kindergarten school under the Office of Phuket City. It is situated nearby within the compound of the Office of Phuket City's Public Library. Everything looks so fun. It's difficult to make up your mind. The Office of Phuket City has opened classes for this kindergarten on a trial period for one semester now. It started by giving lessons to kindergarten students from Tesaban Ban Bang Niew school.The school accepts new enrollment in the 2009 academic year. "We originally planned to stop kindergarten educationin some of our schools to get prepared for the Office's Kindergarten School which is called Tesaban 6. But we still face limits in term of classrooms & teachers so we delayed it & will fully commence in 2009. We are determined to prepare the best for children to go to their 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year." The children begin to learn about the open world and meet more new friends here.
