Nov 21, 2008 - I really don't think Alex Jones is truely comprehending what Peter is trying to say.Capitalism will never make the world better for all of humanity, period. We are no where near the point yet but if there is a global awakening where people unite together for the common cause of making life better for all of humanity; a one world community would be ideal.

Nov 21, 2008 - But this has to be done by the people, not a coercive state or some leader. Not something like the USSR. State run socialism is just as bad. Corporations, poverty, starvation, exploitation, slavery, power, these are all inherent characteristics of capitalism. Let's hypothetically say we live in a world with no corporations and only small business.

Nov 21, 2008 - Let's hypothetically say we live in a world with no corporations and only small business. The small businesses would inevitably evolve into some conglmerate. How do you think McDonald's started off? As a corporation? No, they started off as a single hamburger stand in California and evolved into a corporation. Why? TO MAXIMIZE PROFIT BY EXPANDING BUSINESS. That is how capitalism will always work unless you want to live in a society where everything is regulated, then it isn't really capitalism.

Nov 21, 2008 - It is a difficult thing, to try to look back to a time where we trade with each other without stratification. Before currency became prevalent, those who farmed, had to pay for protection in the form of proportions of goods they produced. The most difficult obstacle to the ideology of the Venus project, is that it will require the letting go of aquisitive behaviour.Teaching children to share and not to snatch from one another is a perfect example.

Nov 21, 2008 - In the meantime, lets also remove the profiteering in the form of usury.

Nov 21, 2008 - You're missing his point. His point is that humans will reach a consciousness to where we dont worry about having excess. We simply take what is neccessary. The atrocities all over the world will not end until this is reached.

Nov 21, 2008 - An example of how technology is stifled. I am working on a small scale sustainable energy generating system (& I really am). But I need to keep this confidential and spend vast amounts to establish that it does not infringe patents. Its a crock of sh-t. My system may be similar to another, but will almost certainly be different to, & findamentally, if I can put this out for people to use, I should be able to without the threat of subsequent repercussions.

Nov 21, 2008 - I think america is a great country but you guys are still rather innocent to the long term effects of the monetary system. The initial stages of a monetary system are great, but the wealth ALWAYS accumulates in fewer and fewer hands. What america was is a country in the good early stages of the monetary system. Now the country is experiencing the very same effects that happened in most european countries ages before. You'll always have a monopoly power at some point with money.

Nov 21, 2008 - I used to have a certain level of respect for Alex Jones. No more. The extent of my loathing for him after this "discussion" cannot be expressed in words. What a truly despicable human being he is.

Nov 21, 2008 - People need to wake up to what they really are. We are not the body, the mind or the ego. We are one Consciousness.

Nov 21, 2008 - PJ is a little bit ahead of his time. i like his ideas. If we can restore sound money and the constitution that would be a great step in the right direction. The monetary system is likely a product of social evolution and will one day be replaced until that day comes let us restore the republic that guarantees our individual freedom with the living constitution.
