Nadine feels like she is in way over her head, and doesn't know how to cope with her feelings for Nikolas. This causes her to do some dumb things and send mix signals to Nikolas. Nikolas, who is confused about her behavior, goes to the hospital to ask Elizabeth for some insight. In the meantime, Spinelli is offering Nadine some sage advice of his own. This prompts her to call Nikolas to try and explain why she acted the way she did. He arrives at the pier and is waiting for her, when she falls down the steps trying to get to him.
