Sarah Palin addresses a heckler directly in Estero, Florida. This is the original shaky video. I didn't realize it would get sooo much attention.

Dec 1, 2008 - Plus, the military is pretty much the only non-school organization that's allowed to just come to public schools (not sure about private) and recruit. It's the only organization that's allowed to get all the students' personal info from public schools without prior approval from students or parents, thanks to a little clause in NCLB. If a corporation did that or a political interest group got away with that, we'd be up in arms. Parents would have a fit. It's a weird double standard.

Dec 1, 2008 - its no double standard. the military isnt a corporation, nor is it a politically motivated group. its a future for people who wish it. would you like to have colleges not recruit from schools either? people who cant afford college can and do with the help of the military if they so choose, and they might not know that. If you think theres something evil about military recruiting from high school, then you really havent met a single soldier. hint: we like the military.

Dec 1, 2008 - It was a brilliant and upbeat way of disarming a loudmouth bent on disrupting her speech. This rally was not an open forum. If you don't think you'd applaud Obama for doing the same thing to a conservative heckler, you're delusional.

Dec 1, 2008 - Palin says EYE-RACK all the time. Shows how stupid she is.

Dec 1, 2008 - All our sons and daughters should be home from Iraq. The terrorists were NOT is Iraq until we attacked but the headquarters is STILL in Afghanistan and Pakistan. So, Osama said the major front for the war on terror is Iraq? OK, so we believe a terrorist? He said that, knowing we would put all our efforts in Iraq and stay away from his headquarters. Brilliant. Give us a President with a brain. Yes, someone who is actually smart! McShame/Apalin?? I don't think so!
Kemocu Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - how would u like her to say it? please do tell.
Fubs Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - It's Ih-Raq (not sure how to spell it phoenetically lol) not Eye-raq. Would she pronounce italy Eye-taly?

From an educational standpoint, I am allowing my kids to read this to help learn about politics..so as a responsible parent.. I am obligated to keep out profanity

Dec 1, 2008 - Over in Iraq fighting for your right to protest? What does the war in Iraq have to do with that? Nothing...
MonthOfSmarch Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - You're letting your kids learn about politics by letting them read youtube comments? So you really couldn't find something better, more coherent and more informed? Poor kids...

nick9979 Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - yeah mccain really put "country first" by choosing a candidate on purely political purposes, not for her experience.get a clue **REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA**
NuckinFuts666 Says:
Dec 1, 2008 - So we should have let Saddam Hussein take over all the oil fields in the Middle East because it doesn't directly affect your right to protest. You would be the first to protest, about why the US military didn't stop him, if he had shut off all oil exports to the US

Dec 1, 2008 - I mean, if the kid REALLY wants to join the military, he shouldn't have to wait for some military rep to come to his school. I'm assuming about 75% (at least) of people 17 or older have a driver's license and hopefully a car, so they could easily go to the nearest recruiting station and sign up after they searched it on the Internet or wherever. I mean, this is 2008. It seems a little old-fashioned for something as old as the military to have to go to schools to advertise themselves.
