Dec 1, 2008 - An Ernie Boch Sr. commercial without Chico the Llama?!? Never knew he did any without Chico. WEEI was a talk station before??? Oh that's right, WHDH had 850 on the dial before...

Dec 1, 2008 - I'd bet any amount of money that someone else's first comment on this would have been:"RIP Ernie Boch, Sr."Well, now i'm the first to say it!

Dec 1, 2008 - I love the radio ads. Growing up in Boston in the 70s/80s, they bring back good memories.

Dec 1, 2008 - I was just about to mention that! I totally miss Chico!

MSTS1 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - Yes, he did them for many years alone. And also with a Japanese character named something like 'Sweetchie'. The later spots and newspaper ads were with Chico and also Kramer The Magical Donkey. These were Ernie's animals that he kept at his farm on Martha's Vineyard.-WEEI was actually a "Newsradio" station.

Dec 1, 2008 - I remember how fast Joe Green would talk doing his traffic reports. No wonder traffic was always brutal going in and out of the city (j/k)!

MSTS1 Says:

Dec 1, 2008 - And I believe that actually would be spelled 'Cramer'...
